Faith Touye

Faith was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Peter and Mary Hitsous. She graduated from Wagner College with a master’s degree in education. Faith’s love for children led her to serve as an elementary school teacher for many years in New York and at several Arizona schools, including Anasazi Elementary School in the Scottsdale Unified School District.

Faith is survived by her daughter Lisa, son-in-law John, their children Randy, Mary and Ryan as well as her former husband Ted Touyé. Faith is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters and her daughter Barbara.

Faith loved to read, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, could always be counted on as a classroom volunteer, looked forward to meeting friends for lunch and loved to help people. For many years, she was the primary caregiver for several family members. She enjoyed traveling across Europe with her best friend from college, serving as a Brownie troop assistant leader with her close friend, cooking Greek food for her family and hosting celebrations. Faith will be dearly missed by her family and her friends.

Cremation was provided by Surprise Funeral Care, part of Dignity Memorial.
