Frank will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud great-grandfather, veteran, and a man who never hesitated to help others. Whether family, friends, neighbors, or strangers in need, Frank was always willing to go above and beyond for anyone who asked for help.
That spirit of service defined much of Frank’s life. Frank worked as a Commodity Economist for W.R. Grace in New York City for nearly 25 years before retirement. After retirement, he dedicated more than 11 years volunteering with the Ambulance Corps in New Jersey, where he also served as President for two years and Vice President on the Board of Health for five years. His compassion, leadership, and commitment to caring for others left a lasting impact on the community he so proudly served. Prior to moving to Arizona, the town honored Frank with a surprise going-away party where May 28th was officially declared “Frank Tibolla Day” in recognition and appreciation of his many years of selfless service to the community.
After relocating to Arizona, Frank continued his dedication to helping others through more than 10 years of volunteer service with the Surprise Fire Department Crisis Response Team. His kindness and willingness to support people during difficult moments touched countless lives, earning him Crisis Response Volunteer of the Year honors twice. Frank also loved animals and volunteered with Chance Shelter of Surprise, continuing his lifelong passion for helping those in need in every way he could.
Frank was also a devoted Catholic who faithfully attended church weekly with his beloved wife, Suzanne. His faith guided the way he lived his life — with kindness, compassion, humility, and love for others.
Frank’s greatest devotion, however, was to his beloved wife of 66 years, Suzanne Tibolla. Their love story began in Michigan while Frank was stationed there with the Air Force, and together they built a beautiful life and family over more than six decades of marriage.
Frank and Suzanne welcomed three children, Michael, Valerie, and Laurie, and were blessed with five grandchildren: Kelly, Jamie, William, Caitlin, and Mackenzie. Frank also adored his great-granddaughter, Kennedy.
Frank’s kindness, joyful spirit, unwavering faith, and endless love for his family and community left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort knowing he is now in Heaven watching over them as their guardian angel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frank’s honor to Chance Shelter of Surprise, where he volunteered caring for animals he loved so dearly. Chance Shelter's link can be found below.
