Gene Rollin Sheppelman

Gene Rollin Sheppelman, 83, of Sun City West, Arizona, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2013. He was born on July 1, 1930 to the late William H. and Edna I. Sheppelman in Onarga, Illinois. Gene was a Parts Buyer for the Tucson Unified School District until his retirement. Gene loved music; red roses and cars, especially Fords. He had a knack for being handy and could fix anything. Gene and Beverly, his beloved wife of 55 years, would become world travelers, visiting France, Spain, Mexico, the South Pacific, Bermuda, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany, to name a few. He is also survived by his two daughters, Karen (Harold Moser) Gutierrez and Diane Sheppelman; and one son, Gregg (Jeff Pfleger) Sheppelman; two grandchildren, Michelle(David) Kurz and Ryan Gutierrez; and 3 great-grandchildren, Melodie, Tristan and Asher. Gene was preceded in death by his sister, the late Wilna Deitelhoff and his brother, the late Wayne Sheppelman. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, August 26, 2013 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ and a funeral service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at East Lawn Palm Mortuary and Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ.
