I can hardly believe it has been 6 months since the beautiful soul I knew as my husband passed into his next experience. I have had tremendous support from family and friends. I want to thank all of you for your comfort and strength while I adjust to a different life. I would not claim that a good memory was a strong suit of mine, but I can share that the many memories that Jack gifted me flood to my mind in constancy. How we laughed to tears is still a joy. My trust in him to tell him everything and anything is deeply missed. Our devotion to forgive each other always for everything is what I consider the maturity of love. The feeling of oneness cannot be topped. His courage still mists my eyes. I am blessed to have known him...and but learn now how to love him in a different way

We will miss our wonderful son-in-law and his beautiful soul. He is loved by all of the Mitchell family and our reunions won't be the same without him.
For his family and all those who were fortunate enough to know him and especially our precious daughter Tana ......this Indian Prayer.
I give you this one thought to keep-
I am with you still-I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift,uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night,
Do not think of me as gone-
I am with you still-in each new dawn.
We love you Jack!

My heart goes out to the family! I was in utter shock to hear of his passing. Jack was a great man true to his word! He always cared for his brothers and sisters as a member of the Nuclear Security Forces! He will be truly missed!

Jack was quite the man! He was the kind of person people liked from the minute they met him. He had a warm and welcoming way with people and was fun to be with. A good man, in every respect. Jack was smart, honest, kind, witty, athletic and responsible. He was a great husband to Tana. He's really going to be missed by his family and friends. We are glad we knew him, but he's now without pain and suffering. May he rest in peace. Go with God.

My condolences go out to the Cherry Family for their loss of Jack. I hadn't seen him in a long time but thought of him often. I was saddened to hear this as Jack was a childhood friend and a very friendly one at that. I wish I had the opportunity to see him just one more time but God has his way. I'm so certain that he is in heaven relishing all of its beauty. Again I am saddened.
