Jim spent 10 years in the United States Air Force where he met his wife, Mary Ann at a USO dance in Kansas City, MO, and they just recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. He moved with his family to Arizona in the early ‘80s and spent his career as a computer programmer in the banking industry. During his retirement years, he became a small business owner with his son in the automotive service industry.
Jim had a great love of playing golf, restoring historic cars, hot rods, and flying his model airplanes and drones. Most Sundays, you would find him cheering on his favorite football teams - the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs, watching championship golf, or the latest NASCAR race. Family was very important to Jim, and he spent his free time researching his genealogy and tracing his ancestors.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Ann, and children Michael (Olimpia), Jim (Joy), Antoinette (Darron), and Jennifer, his grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Brittany (Jeff), Christopher, Abigail, Nicholas, Sarah, Andrew, and Jarod. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Jennie and Anna Marie, brother-in-law Nick, along with his great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lee and Mary Josephine, his sisters Beverly and Carol, and his brothers-in-law Charlie, Jim and Sam.
A memorial mass for Jim will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Parish, 17111 W Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374.
