

James Todd Smith, 77, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on January 31, 2015. Jim was born January 27, 1938, and grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Upon graduating from the University of Denver, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. Spending years working for Symons Manufacturing Company in Denver and LA, he eventually returned to Denver to start up his own real estate firm. Jim was an avid hunter of big game, a fisherman for the illusive muskie and a wildlife photographer winning many awards. He taught Hunter Safety Classes and organized fishing derbies for kids. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lynda Smith, his sister, Linda (Roger) Peterson, children, Jeffrey (Kerrie) Smith and Patricia Hollembeck, step-children, David (Laura) Peterson and Jennifer (Dan) Hershman, grandchildren, Sarah, Garrett, Jace, Taylor, Kylie, Kira, Dylan and Matthew, and great grandchildren, Garrett and Mason.
