My condolences to Maribeth, Derek, and to all of Jeff's many friends and family.

Wise, kind, honest, sincere, helpful, modest, humble, wry, humorous...

Words alone can’t describe the man that contributed so much to so many that he touched.

You will be missed by many that you touched in life’s journey.

I got to know Jeff through his professional writings at RealMoney.com and as a faithful reader of "A Dash of Insight". Emails led to periodic lunches when I travelled to Chicago at great eating spots; how can you not be grateful to the guy that introduced you to Portillos ! Jeff was an excellent professional mentor and I am very saddened by his passing; we had so many more interesting conversations to have over lunch! I am very grateful for all the knowledge and wisdom he freely shared with me; I am a better professional and person for it. My condolences to Maribeth, Derek, and to all of Jeff's many friends and family.

I met Jeff early in high school. Many memories, it is so very sad to hear he has passed on. He touched a lot of lives, helped a lot of people. One of the good guys. My condolences to his family.

I'd never met him, but he was a great mentor to me. His weekly column "weighing the week ahead" was always at the top of my weekend reading. He clearly cared for his readers. I joined his SA advisory group only a few months ago. I will miss his gentle, kind hearted advice "and you should too!".

Thank you Jeff, you were a mentor and a steady hand on the tiller in the stormy seas of investing. May your family take comfort in how many people appreciated your gentle wisdom from afar.

To Maribeth & Derek I am a Bridge Buddy who admired Jeff not only for his Bridge expertise, but also for being a role model for all new players who ventured into duplicate bridge. His friendliness and calm demeanor at the table made all opponents new or seasoned welcome and the experience was a pleasurable event. I served with Jeff on the CCBA board along with Harriet Buckman. We were assigned an integrity infraction by prominent players to render a decision on their guilt or innocence. We debated the details and Jeff wrote our decision and presented it to the board. He was masterful in explaining that bridge is a game that many forget that it is a game that we all love but it is always a game. Jeff Miller, your presence at the table will forever be missed!

I didn't know Jeff personally just through his investment guidance. He made a difference in thousands of people's lives. My heart goes out to all of you. Jeff's heart touched all of ours with his kindness, patience and vast wealth of know ledge he so freely shared with us all.

I got to know Jeff from his Seeking Alpha presence. I followed him for years and chatted along the way. Then, I was able to meet with him in Scottsdale soon after he moved to Arizona. Jeff was just like his writings, intelligent, funny, generous with his knowledge, and so very personable and kind. Even though, I did not know Jeff as well as many in his life, when I heard of his passing I cried because Jeff evoked that type of emotion. Way too soon, so much more to do. My deepest condolences to Jeff's family. Mimi

I always enjoyed sparring with Jeff about big 10 football and then discussing the company we both were involved with on the BOD.
He also invited into the NCAA basketball pool in which in was involved and possibly a founder. I invited my 25 year old grandson to join the pool this year and he came in 8th. I had wanted to tell Jeff about this but never got the chance. He would have been very pleased that I had passed this tradition on to someone in my family. Jeff was always presented an interesting view to whatever we discussed. We had lunch last year before we moved from
Scottsdale and it was as I expected an interesting and entertaining time. I will miss him. Jack Clifford
