Jerry A. Matney

Born in 1932, Jerry dedicated 34 years to education, serving as a teacher and principal before becoming the Mayor of Huntington Beach, California, where he left a lasting impact on his community. He was also an accomplished author many times over, sharing his wisdom, humor, and stories with countless readers.

Jerry was married to his wife, Nedra, for 68 years, building a life together filled with love and family. He is survived by his wife, their two children, DeeAnn and Brett, and his cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
