

Jimmy Ull, affectionately known as “Tata”, "Chino" and "DJ Chino Salsero," passed away peacefully at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with leukemia on June 13, 2026. Born in the Bronx, New York City, Jimmy moved to Miami at the age of 14 and graduated from Carol City Senior High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for eight years during the Vietnam War, where he was exposed to Agent Orange.
A devoted family man, Jimmy worked for Borden Dairy in Miami before joining the University of Phoenix in finance. He was a firm believer in God and attended St. Cecilia Church in Manhattan, New York. His passion for dancing, singing, and being a DJ flourished during his military service in the Philippines, where he taught the "Chino Hustle."
Jimmy was a dedicated sports fanatic, often watching multiple games at once on his collection of over ten TVs. His vibrant personality shone through his love for wearing humorous shirts that sparked conversations. A proud Puerto Rican, he made sure everyone knew his heritage and was known for his infectious sense of humor, always ready to crack a joke and make others laugh.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicheal Ull; grandson, Izayah Ull; brothers, Henry Ull Jr. and Gabriel Ull; and nephews, David Ull, Edwin Ull, Donovan Ull, and Enrique Ull. He was predeceased by his mother, Lydia Ull, and his father, Henry Ull.
Jimmy's warmth, friendliness, and unwavering support for his loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
