With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, John Byron “JB” Ritter. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather , great-grandfather, family member, and friend that touched the hearts of many.
He was a man who will always be remembered for his love, strength, wisdom, service and the memories he created with those around him. He taught us valuable lessons, gave us moments to treasure and left a lasting legacy On our lives. His love and guidance will continue to live on through his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
JB is survived by his wife, Jan Ritter, children, Jeff Ritter (Kendra), Keith Ritter (Cari), Trent Ritter (Kelly) and Kasey Bula, and his many grand and great grandchildren.
JB served in the Air Force reserves as a pararescue, graduated from ASU, in civil engineering, and has loved it for the last 52 years. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held many callings and was always ready to serve. His pride and joy was his wife of 57 years, and his family!
He will be missed but we know that families are forever and we will be with him again!
A Religious Ceremony will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 23391 N 166th Dr, Surprise, AZ 85387, US, on October 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 North Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351, US, on October 26, 2026 at 11:00 am.
