Joe was born September 15, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to Leonard and Clare Piekarski (Greenwald) both of whom predeceased him. Joe worked as a model-maker/machinist for Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois, for over 35 years. He was an avid model railroader, an enthusiastic member of the Sun City Grand Singers, a retired member of the Surprise Police Department’s Citizens Patrol, and a devoted cat dad. Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Beth Piekarski (Krein); his sister Therese Frysztak; five nieces and nephews and their families, four godchildren, and many cousins and friends.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374.
