Juan Manuel Duran

December 4, 1947July 31, 2020

Juan Manuel Duran was born on December 4, 1947 in his hometown, Sabinal, Texas. He was a beloved husband of 46 years to his wife, Rosa Duran and a father to his children, Danny, Anthony, Bobby, and Janet. Juan was a loving grandfather to his seven grandchildren, who he deeply adored.

Juan was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving a tour in the Vietnam War. After his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marines, he became a dedicated truck driver and soon after found his passion for driving.

His successful career of driving and love for traveling on the road later led him to owning his own truck and trailer. He traveled through many states and often time was accompanied by his beloved wife.

After his retirement from truck driving, he and his wife moved to Surprise, Arizona. There, he spent time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Juan will truly be missed by his family and friends for his charismatic and friendly personality.

To the Duran Family,
Our condolences on your loss.
Through my wife Grace I had the honor of meeting Juan and Rosa many, many years ago. Perhaps because Juan and I were truck drivers at the time we immediately hit it off and became friends. Juan and Rosa's generosity and kindness will be with us forever.
Many memories of Juan will always remain with us. Juan's bluntness, his fun attitude about life and his ability to make fun of himself was special.
I don't believe Juan really knew how strong he was as each time he greeted me I felt he was going to break my hand with his strong handshake.
Juan's love for Danny, Anthony, Bobby, Janet and his grandchildren was special. We were all Blessed to have known such a special man.
Juan - May you rest in peace!
