

Juliana “Julie” Schrock Natalio, 85, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away peacefully with family on October 24, 2025. Born on April 9, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Julie was known for her gentle spirit and kind heart.
A devoted Catholic, Julie spent 11 years in her early adulthood as a nun with the Daughters of Wisdom before graduating from Maryview School of Nursing in 1965. She devoted more than 45 years to caring for patients with compassion and grace. Her dedication to service extended far beyond her profession—she was a quiet yet steady advocate for the poor and a supporter of civil rights. She also shared her faith by bringing communion to the sick and teaching children in her parish.
Julie married the love of her life, Dr. Nestor F. Natalio, on November 6, 1971. Nestor preceded her in death on July 9, 2018.
She is survived by her four children, Amalia S. Natalio, Amando S. Natalio, Audra N. Ziegenfuss, and Adrianna N. (Jason) Barnes; nine grandchildren, Forrest (Alexandra) Colyer, Dalton Colyer, Avery Colyer, Carson Colyer, Everett Ziegenfuss, Brighton Ziegenfuss, Abigail Ziegenfuss, Ella Ziegenfuss, Owen Barnes; and two great-grandchildren, Ryer and Rhys Colyer. She also leaves behind her sister, Joanne Schrock (Mary Rockey); sister-in-law Avenida (Berting) Llantos; nieces and nephews Mike (Jenn) Rockey and Matt (Brittany) Rockey, USMC MAJ Edwin (Rosemary) Llantos, Errol (Lovette) Llantos, Elmer Llantos, Angelina (Bobby) Maraya, Angel Maullon. Four step-children: Ernesto B. Natalio, Emerito B. Natalio, Daisy B. Natalio, Cecilia B. (Glenn) Buchanan; three step-grandchildren, CW3 Emilio (Jenny) Natalio, Emily Anne Natalio, Anjuli Natalio (Josh) Tremble; four step-great grandchildren, Allyson Natalio, Evelyn Natalio, Dylan Kirkland, Zinnia Tremble, Audrick Tremble.
Faith and family were the cornerstones of Julie’s life. She cherished time spent gathered around the table with loved ones—sharing stories, laughter, and good food. Her mornings began in prayer, and her days were brightened by music, conversation, and simple joys. Those who knew her will remember her unwavering kindness, sweet smile, and open heart.
