Karen Vera-Linn Bryant

Born July 13, 1962, Karen was a cherished and beloved presence whose gentle strength and thoughtful spirit left a lasting mark on all who knew her. A resident of Sun City, Arizona, she will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection.

Karen’s dedication to learning shaped much of her life. She earned three Bachelor’s Degrees—in Computer Science, Archeology, and Social Work—an achievement that reflected both her hard work and her wise, steady determination. Her education was not simply a collection of credentials, but a testament to a mind that valued understanding, service, and honest effort.

In her professional life, Karen worked as a Social Worker and was a writer. In these roles, her compassionate nature and patient attentiveness shone through, guided by a sincere desire to help and to speak with clarity and care. Those who encountered Karen in her work knew her as someone devoted to doing what was right, generous with her time, and kind-hearted in the way she treated others.

For 25 years, Karen shared her life with her husband, John. They were deeply in love and married for 23 years—a partnership marked by loyalty, faithfulness, and a quiet, enduring devotion. Karen had no children, but she and John had two “fur babies,” Zach and Abby, whom they treated as their children and cherished dearly. She is also survived by her beloved nephew Alex; her brother, Karl (Sun City, Arizona); and her brother, Tim (Canada).

Karen found joy in the comforts of home and the beauty of thoughtful details. She loved cooking and sewing, and she brought an artistic presentation to fine dining cooking, often setting a formal table with care. In these moments, her gentle humor and selfless thoughtfulness came through—an honest effort to make others feel welcomed, cared for, and pleased. True to her nature, she was “small but mighty,” carrying herself with quiet strength and genuine warmth.

Karen was baptized three years ago at Radiance Church in Sun City, Arizona, a step that reflected her faithful heart and the sincerity with which she approached life.
