Karen Marie Vanderbilt

Whether you knew her as mom, Nan, sister, aunt, or friend, one thing for certain is that you were loved immensely. She had a unique way of making you feel special and she cherished the relationships she had with everyone. Karen always made sure everyone was happy and taken care of, even until the very end.

She is survived by her children, Alicia (Dwight) Burd and Jeff (Jessica) Vanderbilt, her grandchildren Kaylie, Marley, Miranda, Dwight, and Maci, her sister Chris (Glenn) brother Sergei (Tami), her Sister-in-law Barb (Mike), her aunt Suzie and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. Karen also leaves behind many close friends that were also like family.

To know Karen was a blessing and an honor. Karen will truly be missed but would want us all to celebrate her legacy with laughter and love. Services will be held on March 30, 2024 from 2-4 at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 West Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona, 85374.
