Katherine Blesi

Kat was born and raised in San Francisco, California, and earned her associate degree in California.

Kat was married to the love of her life, Miles Blesi, for over 38 years. She dedicated more than 30 years to federal service, including a tour in Afghanistan, and proudly served on FEMA’s Emergency Response Team. She took great pride in her work and especially enjoyed her role as a Realty Specialist with the Army Corps of Engineers.

Those who knew Kat would agree she was strong-minded, outspoken, and unafraid to use her voice—but she also had one of the kindest hearts. She never failed to check in, sending texts and messages to make sure the people she loved felt cared for.

Kat was deeply loved by many and will be profoundly missed. Her memory will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Kat is survived by her husband, Miles Blesi; her two stepchildren, Zachary Blesi and Alexandria Moreno; her brother, Bill Loscutoff; her sister, Tania Aponte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan William and Anna Loscutoff; her sister, Mary Fleming; and her brother, Paul Loscutoff.

Her memory will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
