November 26, 1941 - March 29, 2025
Koelean Lytle of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away on March 29, 2025 surrounded by family in Arizona.
Koelean was born in Sacramento, California to Dewain and Ruby Rose. They later moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where she grew up with her sisters Nedra Lingnaw and Pamela Rose. Koelean graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1960. She modeled clothing for The Paris and worked the box office at the Orpheum Theatre where she met Lowell and married in 1961. They have three children Reyna, Jenifer and Jeff.
Koelean was passionate about her career. She learned the mortgage and title business before getting her real estate license in 1975. Eventually she opened her own brokerage, Spring Creek Realtors and later started Century 21 Greater Valley Properties where she retired in 2014. You couldn’t go anywhere in town and not have someone stop and ask her about the market or if she would list their house. The 39 years she spent in real estate in the community brought her much joy and served many, many friends and clients.
In her free time she loved to play golf. Homeowners and Members of the Jerome Country Club since 1982, she encouraged her young grandson Casey at the age of three to begin playing by purchasing his first set of (plastic) clubs. Through the years he became a regular at the Jerome CC playing golf and working in the Pro Shop with goals of becoming a golf pro. Koelean played Ladies Twilight for years and liked to follow the PGA Tours and bet on her (and Casey’s) favorites to win tournaments. If you played the back nine at Jerome CC and were friends of the Lytle’s no doubt you were greeted on hole #14 (and with a cold one if that’s your thing).
Many fond memories were made at the cabin in Fairfield, ID where family and friends enjoyed the outdoors year-round. They did a lot of skiing, snowmobiling, 4 wheeler rides and most winter holidays were spent in the shadow of the pristine Soldier Mountains, laughing and celebrating. She and Lowell and the dog(s) spent quiet weekends together there as much as possible, enjoying peace and nature. A favorite pastime was a card game of Gin Rummy where she often went undefeated and pocketed a few dollars in winnings. She loved playing cards. An annual favorite was the “Over the Hill to Featherville” razor ride and golf scramble with a close group of friends. After she retired they sold the cabin and purchased a second home in Arizona, a lifelong goal, where she enjoyed the warm weather, community and close friends.
Koelean touched many people’s lives and hearts as a wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, friend, relative, business owner and colleague. We will forever deeply miss her presence.
Koelean is preceded in death by her parents Dewain and Ruby Rose, her daughter Reyna and grandson Casey.
