Larry Edwin Manning, affectionately known as "Wormy," passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on August 23, 1947, in Punta Gorda, Florida, to parents Mary and Joseph, Larry was known for his kind-hearted, honesty, and selfless nature.
Larry was drafted into the Vietnam War as a young adult, serving with dedication and honor in the 101st Airborne Army unit. His military service was marked by a profound commitment to his country.
From his marriage, Larry was blessed with his only son, Andrew Edwin Manning, whom he cherished dearly. Larry's family was a central part of his life, and he took great pride in his role as a father.
An avid golfer, Larry maintained his physique through walking and balancing his love for sweets. He had a particular fondness for traveling to Siesta Key beach, where he enjoyed walking along the shore and admiring the beautiful sunsets. He loved animals, particularly dogs of every breed.
Larry remained in touch with his faith at Cross Church in Surprise, Arizona, where he was a devoted member. His energetic and outgoing personality, combined with an inviting nature, made him a true friend to many, as he never knew a stranger.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of the Valley, with special thanks to Antoinette Woods, Keith Gilroy, and their family at Cross Church in Surprise, AZ.
Larry Edwin Manning will be deeply missed, and each memory made with him will be cherished forevermore.
Go now and be with Jesus dad. “Good doggies forever” – Andy
