Larry Michael Martinek

Larry was born on December 4, 1943 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Mike and Helen Martinek.

On February 7, 1964, Larry married Audrey Wondra in Sheridan, WY. They celebrated their 60th anniversary this year.

Larry and Audrey moved to Gillette, WY in 1974 as he began his 30 year career in the coal industry.

After retiring, they spent a few years in El Paso, TX before settling in Surprise, AZ as he enjoyed golfing and the warm climate.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, who passed away in September 2024.

Larry is survived by daughter and son in law, Lori and Joe Hubbard of Gillette, WY, son, Curtis Martinek of Gillette, WY. Grandchildren, Brad Hubbard of Gillette, WY and Hunter (Michelle) Hubbard of Cheyenne, WY. Brother, Donald (Ella) Martinek of Phoenix, AZ. Brother in law, George (Marva) Wondra of Peoria, AZ and sister in law, Marilyn Grace of Sheridan, WY.

A memorial service for Larry and Audrey will be held at a later date in Gillette, WY.
