Leif completed one year of college before devoting his life to the U.S. Marine Corp. After graduating from Marine boot camp, he carried forward with the steady courage of one who understood duty and commitment, and he remained loyal to the bonds formed through service.
In his working life, Leif drove trucks for Yellow Roadway Corp. and worked as a Teamster and freight hauler—roles that reflected his reliability, resolve, and the quiet strength of someone who showed up, did the work, and stood by others.
Leif never married, yet his life was marked by devotion in its truest form: caring for the people who were loyal to him, protecting close friends, and offering steadfast support in ways that did not seek attention. Beloved by those who truly knew him, he lived with a reserved, peaceful spirit and often kept to himself.
A craftsman at heart, Leif found purpose and pride in making and building—airbrush painting, home-improvement creations, and working on cars with genuine passion. His adventurous streak showed not in grand displays, but in the fearless willingness to take something apart, imagine it better, and put it back together with his own hands.
Leif also carried a deep respect for fellow veterans, with a wish to donate his motorized wheelchair to disabled veterans—an intention that speaks to his enduring loyalty and care for those who have served. Though he did not get to finish what he intended to do, it was never his plan for life to unfold this way, and that unfinished work is held with tenderness by those who loved him.
A committal service will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024, on July 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
With gratitude, heartfelt thanks are offered to the Brothers with whom Leif served, and to his Teamsters brothers who did the right thing when it came to togetherness, as well as to all the close friends he would protect and care for.
“I loved my brother till the end and he will never be forgotten. If anyone has a Leif E. Clark, note that man will be their (Forever).” - Kendall Clark
