Leo Dean Roberts

Leo Dean Roberts, 84, of Buckeye, Arizona passed away on January 5th, 2021 in Glendale, Arizona. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1lam, Friday, January 15th, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14878 N Verde Vista Dr, Surprise, AZ 85388. There will be a light luncheon following. His burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Leo was born in Checotah, Oklahoma to Thomas Jefferson and Flora Lorena Roberts on May 2, 1936. He went to school in Bakersfield, California and then joined the Navy in 1954 and received an honorable discharge after four years of service.

He married Linda Ann Davis on June 18th, 1961 in Los Gatos, California. He worked at Safeway for 17 years and then he moved to Tieton, Washington where he owned his own grocery store called Roberts' Market. He retired from this occupation after 20 years and then he and Linda traveled around the country and in 2010 settled in Arizona.

Leo is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Evans. Leo is survived by: Linda Roberts, his wife; Andrew Roberts, Brent Roberts, Katrina Roberts, Carisa and Phillip Simpson, Sandra Roberts, his children; Steve Roberts, Lois Phalp, his siblings; Emily Franks, Clark Roberts, Carey Simpson, Bailey Simpson, Isabella Roberts, Gabriella Roberts, Shaelynn Reed and Macia Roberts, his grandchildren.

He was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was well loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed.
