LeRoy (Snuffy) Drace passed away on April 12, 2026 peacefully in Surprise, Arizona. He had moved just days before from Reno, Nevada where he had lived almost 40 years. He was born on September 20, 1944 in Everett, Washington to Margaret and Roy Drace who preceded him death.
He attended Pelican and Roosevelt grade schools and graduated from Klamath Union High School class of 1962. He worked as an oiler on cranes before and after serving in the Army where he was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Az and Fort Lewis, Wa. In the mid-70’s he decided to give real estate a try and that was his lasting career. He enjoyed many friends in the business in Portland, Or before moving to Reno, Nv. He loved finding the right homes and putting the deals together. He lived in his home for most of that time; it was located in a community with super neighbors and friends that were like family.
From the time Lee was old enough to press the gas pedal, he was into cars; new ones, old ones, beautiful and ugly ones. When he left for the Army, his dad was given the task of taking care of 7 cars while he was gone. He wasn’t exactly happy about it, but they were there when he returned.
One event in Reno, Hot August Nights, was his most favorite time. He had two basset dogs, Hazel and Daisey, that he dressed up in prison uniforms and a third dog an Italian greyhound, Lilley, was a cop. They rode around in his rat rod pickup “The Dog Catcher” entertaining anyone that would pay attention to them. He loved those dogs.
Lee is survived by his brother Bob (Sandy) Drace of Klamath Falls, sister Mary Herrall of Surprise and Nephew Bret (Cyndi) Drace of Reno.
On Saturday June 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. there will be a graveside service in the military section of Klamath Memorial Park, 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Lee’s family will be hosting a luncheon following the service at the Waffle Hut Restaurant, 106 Main Street, Klamath Falls. We hope that you can attend.
