

Lester was born on June 21, 1950 in Watertown, SD, the son of Wilfred Lester Lange and Marie Viola (Inglis) Lange. At the age of three they moved to Delavan, WI. He was baptized at Our Reedemer Lutheran Church in Delavan on March 14, 1964. He was confirmed March 22, 1964. He graduated from Delavan Darian High School in June of 1968. Lester was united in marriage to Sue Ellen Werkmeister on August 11, 1973 in Delavan. They were blessed with two children: Kelly Sue and Kevin Wayne.
Les was a Certified Auto Master Technician for 35 years. He was very knowledgeable and had a heart of gold. He was very generous in helping fix other people's cars. His passion was old cars. He always enjoyed going to car shows and visiting them throughout Copper Canyon.
Once he retired from his job of being an Auto Mechanic, he went to work for 3M as a Corporate Security officer. He worked for 20 years there. Les also drove an airport shuttle for "To My Surprise" and took pride in his job. He has many loyal friends at both jobs.
Les and Sue were members of Woodbury Lutheran Church in Woodbury, MN. They were actively involved in Jaycees in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
They moved to Sac City, IA in 1977, Spencer, IA in 1984, Maplewood, MN in 1992 and Surprise, AZ in 2017.
Les enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing with friends, camping, assembling puzzles and morning walks with neighbors. He liked traveling either by car or by flying. There have been so many trips he has enjoyed.
Survivors include his wife: Sue Lange; Children: Kelly (Mike) Vo of Surprise, AZ, Kevin (Leslie) Lange of Cottage Grove, MN; five grandchildren: Peyton Hajicek, Rylan Lange, Addison Lange, Avery Vo and Caden Vo; Siblings: Linda (Leonard) Laskowski of Friendship, WI, James Lenling of Oak Creek, WI, Stanley (Amelia) Lange of Canton, GA, Steven Lange of Elkhorn, Wi, Susan Striebel of Delavan, WI; many relatives and good friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents; Sister Gloria and Robert Olson; Brother Clifford Lenling; Sister-in-Law Jennie Lenling; Twin brothers Michael and Martin Lange; Grandson Jacob Vo.
