

Lynda was born in New Haven Connecticut on June 22,1940 to Ernest and Jean McNey.
She was raised in Stroudsburg Pennsylvania with her siblings where she enjoyed Girl Scouts,playing softball and the beauty of her small town. Lynda graduated from Stroudsburg High school and received her secretarial degree from Pennsylvania Business College. After college she moved to Prescott Arizona along with her family. She lived in Arizona most of her life and raised her four children there.
Lynda had a career in retail and office management where she managed several businesses and helped manage the family business (McNey’s)in Prescott but was most proud of her time managing Teaching Tools in Phoenix, guiding teachers and parents with the tools and supplies needed to help educate their students and children.
She married James Joseph Oglesby August 29th 1992 . They enjoyed many of the simple pleasures in life together which included bowling ,camping,fishing and just being together.
Lynda had a passion for collecting elephants ,sewing, and arts and crafts. She also loved flowers, plants and had a flair for interior design! Family visits always brightened her day!
Lynda leaves behind her husband Jim Oglesby, whose love,care and support was unwavering, her loving children ,Michelle Heimberg(David) Karrie Little(Todd), Gregory Scheffer, Christopher Scheffer(Victoria) her many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sister Barbara McNey.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest McNey her mother Jean McNey,her sister Carole Sabo (McNey) and her brother Peter McNey.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
