

Mark Stephen Hutchins, 65, passed away on May 18, 2026, in Surprise, Arizona. Born on March 27, 1961, in Seattle, Washington, Mark lived a life defined by dedication, kindness, and service to his community.
Mark graduated from Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, Washington, on June 8, 1979. Shortly thereafter, he embarked on a career that would leave an indelible mark on the West Valley community. For more than 35 years, Mark was a cherished member of The Wigwam family. His unwavering dedication and leadership at the resort touched the lives of countless team members and guests alike. Known for his generosity and genuine kindness, Mark’s influence extended far beyond his professional role.
A passionate advocate for his community, Mark served on the Board of Directors for the West Valley Chamber of Commerce. He also supported numerous organizations and causes close to his heart, including Leadership West, Fighter Country Foundation, and Luke Air Force Base. His commitment to these endeavors reflected his deep love for the people and places around him.
Mark found joy in the outdoors and spent much of his free time running, hiking, canoeing, and gardening. These hobbies brought him peace and fulfillment throughout his life.
He is survived by his children Garrett Hutchins, Hadyn Hutchins, and Dallas Hutchins; his siblings Julie Zermeno and J.P. Hutchins; and his beloved grandchildren Emmett Gomez and Aria Gomez. Mark was preceded in death by his parents James Harley Hutchins and Joann Carol Anderson; his brothers Michael Hutchins and John Hutchins; and his nephew Collin James Hutchins.
Mark’s legacy is one of compassion, leadership, and an enduring commitment to bettering the lives of those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
