Born on March 28, 2000, in Blythe, California, Matthew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose life brought joy, laughter, and kindness to those around him.
Matthew was the cherished son of Brandon and Alicia Montes. He is survived by his siblings, Brandon Jr., Michael, Brianna, Valerie, Vanessa, and Stephanie, along with his beloved nieces and nephews. Matthew will always hold a special place in the hearts of his family, who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Matthew was a dedicated employee at a moving company in Texas, where his strong work ethic and friendly personality made him a valued team member. He enjoyed spending time at the Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas, floating down the river and fishing. He cherished the beauty of nature and found peace in God’s creation.
In his free time, Matthew enjoyed reading his Bible, woodworking, playing video games, and listening to music. He loved spending time with friends, neighbors, and family, especially when gathering together to share home-cooked meals and enjoy one another’s company.
Matthew had a big heart and was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether by offering someone a ride, helping the elderly, or providing food and water to someone in need. His compassion extended to everyone, from close friends to complete strangers. Matthew gave freely of himself, never hesitating to help someone who needed it. His actions reflected the goodness of his heart and the love he carried for others.
Matthew’s absence leaves an emptiness in the hearts of all who love him that words cannot describe. The memories, laughter, and precious moments shared with him will forever be treasured. Though he is no longer physically present, Matthew will always remain in the hearts of his family. He will forever be loved, deeply missed, and cherished. May he rest in the peace of God’s loving embrace until the day his family and loved ones are reunited with him.
