I am so blessed to have been married to a good man who was loved by so many.I want to Thank All of you for being such an important part of our lives..some whom I have never met but felt like I knew you because Max spoke of everyone to me..If you have funny stories, please post them..I love to read them...it just soothes my soul and heart..Max always told me daily he loved me..especially when he would say (I Love you too much) a phrase we got from a movie..It became special to us both..So if he ever said it to you..sweet..He will forever be my Man, my love, my honey, my railroader..we always took care of each other and thats what its all about in love..MAX, my HONEY, MY LOVE, MY MAN, MY RAILROADER,,You will forever be in MY HEART AND SOUL...I LOVE YOU TO MUCH

At first I could't find the words because it was so hard to realize you were gone especially since you were just at my house the day before.  Because of that I am so fortunate, so honored that you came by to see me and my family.  I got to hug you and tell you I love you one last time.  I will always remember how funny and goofy you were and how you always picked on me.  But I know you were always trying to make light of things.  You would always say I'm so serious...well you definitely taught me to treasure each day and to cherish every moment.  I will always remember your smile and because of that it makes me smile.

Max I will miss you more than you know. My heart is broken for just the thought of you being gone. I remember when we were kids, we always did a lot together with  Rory, we would go swimming at Defermery park in Oakland and walk to Lake Merrit. That was a time when we kids could go anywhere without mom worrying about us. I love you Ariel for loving my brother Max. I am sorry I could not be there but I definitely was there in spirit. Grandpa, words can't even explain how much I'm gonna miss you, I will forever have you in my heart and will never forget all the good times we had. I didn't know Max personally, but I do know my Aunt & cousin John and I know you two will be hurting for a very long time! Max was an AWESOME husband & (step) dad! Eventually this sadness & grief will subside. But the void that Max filled in your hearts will never be filled entirely. The main thing to remember is Max is in HEAVEN because one day long ago in his heart he made a committment to Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ repented for his sins & is now dancing on the golden streets of Heaven with his dad & brothers! My Tio this whole time I'm thinking this is a joke you can't be gone. I'm dreaming someone wake me up. But no this isn't a dream. I have no words for the pain I feel. I'm going to miss you calling me and telling me how far are you from here. We need to meet up. Our when you would call to ck in on my boys. You were an awsome Tio, you can never be replaced. Like you always said you may be married now. But your always going to be an Alvarez. I love you watch over my sister and tell her some funny jokes so when I get there she can let me know how you made heaven laugh.

I did not know Max as well as I would have liked to, yet the news hit hard and I am still in disbelief. We would joke around with each other, and he always had that big ole smile even when we talked  about our disappointment with the Raiders. The gang wont be the same without you buddy, great coworker and person.

The person who said that the neighborhood will never be the same is exactly right, Max you will be missed.  My kids said that they will look after the lizards around the yard and make sure they are ok.  Thanks for all of the laughter, generosity, being a great neighbor and for always having time to share a story with my kids.  Our prayers are with the family, let us know if we can do anything.

Max was a great person. he would help everybody with anything he could. loved to hear his stories. Max will truly be missed.

Max was the best! I worked with him off and on over many years. He was always in a good mood and got along with everyone. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.

Max, when we went camping at Yosemete National Park we had the best trip of all times especially when the bears came into camp we had to bang pots to scarem away. You are awesome max I owe you one especially when you helped me out of the freezing river I dove into, I couldn't breath yet you came to my rescue. I love you my brother, always tu cunado. I miss you already!
