Maxine Emma Wood

Born in Akron, Ohio, she moved to Arizona in 1968 with her husband who was then the Vice President of Goodyear Aerospace. Maxine had a passion for the arts, she was an artist and enjoyed painting and cooking for her family and friends. She was active in numerous civic projects and spent much time doing volunteer work. She was also a long time member of The Church at Litchfield Park.

Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne “Woody” Wood; parents, Harley and Grace Myers; and brothers, Stan Myers and Duane Myers. She is survived by her loving sons Richard (Wife Sheree), James (Wife Sherry), Barry (Wife Debbie) and Grandchildren Ashley and Taylor.

"God looked around his garden and he found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth and He saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, because He always takes the best."
