

Nadine McRae Kellis, 83, of Glendale, AZ, born August 10, 1928, Bisbee, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2012, in South Jordan, Utah. She married Raymond S. Kellis on June 16, 1954. Nadine graduated from the University of Arizona, served a church mission to the Central States, and worked as a school teacher. She served many years doing genealogy and was active in The Daughters of Utah Pioneers. A true matriarch, she attended as many of her grandchildren's baptisms, missionary farewells and weddings as her health would allow. She mentored her sons and grandsons to become Eagle Scouts and her daughters and granddaughters to earn their Young Woman Medallions. She never waivered in her life of obedient service to God.. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond, who passed away in 2000, her parents, Walter and Hazel McRae, and her brother, Stanley McRae. She is survived by her eight children, Vanessa (Shumway), Dana Kellis, Renae (Warne), Valerie (Stringham), Sabrina (Cowley), Ericka (Stewart), Quinn Kellis and Quenta (Hatch), and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Friday, April 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The viewings and funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 8840 N. 61st Ave, Glendale, Arizona.
