Randy lived a full and vibrant life, defined by his dedication to others and his passion for serving his community. He held a variety of careers throughout his lifetime, but his true calling was found in the fire service. Beginning as a volunteer firefighter at just 16 years old, Randy devoted decades to protecting and serving others, ultimately rising to the role of Fire Chief of the Oldwick Fire Department in New Jersey.
Beyond his service, Randy embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. He loved dancing and singing along to oldies and doo-wop, had a deep appreciation for classic cars, and never missed an opportunity to connect with new people. His warmth, humor, and genuine spirit made him a friend to many and someone deeply loved by all who knew him.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Kathryn DeLisa; his granddaughter Charlotte DeLisa; his longtime partner, Margaret Doyle; and his brothers, John L. Diggelmann and Roger E. Diggelmann Sr., his twin. He leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made in Randy’s name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
