Rosie Nuñez, 79, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away quietly, safe and warm at home with her family by her side on Monday, September 11th, 2023.
Rosie was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Evaristo and Angelita Nuñez, and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. She studied Nursing, but found her greatest success as a Contract Management Specialist with the Arizona Department of Transportation. She took great pride in her work, and was proud to have helped generate the contracts that made the I-10 freeway possible.
She was preceded in death by 11 of her 12 brothers and sisters, and is survived by her eldest brother, her son, and her grandchildren, all of whom were her greatest pride and joy.
A Celebration of her life will take place at 11AM on Saturday, October 7th at Surprise Funeral Care, and her burial will take place shortly thereafter at 2PM at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
