Russell George Koziol

RUSSELL GEORGE KOZIOL passed into eternal life on August 12, 2026. He was a man of faith and he deeply loved his family. He was born on November 13, 1971, in Mt Prospect, IL. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University and spent 30 years in staffing and cyber-security business.

Russ was the youngest of six children; his first grade teacher noted that he was a leader in the classroom—a trait that carried on throughout his life in his personal and business world. He was a good steward of his blessings and his love for people resulted in an abundance of everlasting friendships. He enjoyed every sport including golf and later in life, pickleball, attending concerts with Janet and traveling with dear friends.

Russ’ family includes his devoted wife of 27 years, Janet; their two daughters – Jaclyn and Jade. Parents: Dave & Diane, siblings: Jeff, Dave, Jay, Rob and Amy Adent; four dear sisters-in-law, many loving nieces and nephews, his in-laws, Chuck (deceased) and Marlene Erdman. Sue Toussaint and Jim Erdman.

Russ’ life will be celebrated in the Kansas City area later in September (TBD). Because of his faith, Russ approached life and death fearlessly with great courage. A quote from Russ~ “My time here on earth may have been cut short, but I did not get shortchanged. ”
