Rusty fell in love with Rosa M. Toledo in the early 80s in Crestview, Kansas City, Missouri. Their love turned out to lifelong, and In 2022 Rusty moved to Arizona to be closer to her, his daughter, and the granddaughters he doted on. Rusty was a proud member of the NRA and loved going to Gun Shows to purchase historic pieces that needed refurbishment. He delighted in restoring them, taking them apart and putting them back together.
He really enjoyed eating at the all you can eat buffet, Golden Corral buffet. He would make frequent stops at McDonald’s, where he became known as “the pickle man.” Rusty would also go through the drive thru at Wendy’s to get his daily Frosty.
At home he watched old World War movies on his VCR and cheered for Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays. Rusty never turned down a cold beer and would sit outside and enjoy Arizona’s cool night weather while he had a few.
Rusty is survived by his best friend, Rosa Toledo of Surprise, AZ, the world’s luckiest daughter, Rachel Toledo-Miller and his hardworking son-in-law, Ryan Miller, of Tampa, FL. Grandpa Rusty will most be missed by his spoiled granddaughters, Marisol (16) and Camila (12) Miller of Tampa, FL.
