

Shane was born on February 28th, 1963, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Nicholas & JoAnn (Luyben) Winistorfer of Bismarck.
He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1981 & then completed the Bismarck State College Power Plant Technology vocational program. He spent the next thirty years employed in Process Plant Operations and steam generation including 13 years with the Dakota Gasification Company of Beulah, North Dakota followed by 17 years with the Dickinson State University heating plant in ND. During this time he met the love of his life, Jodi Prince. They were married on Sept 15th, 1989 in Bismarck, North Dakota.
They relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 2012 where Shane was employed as a Maintenance Coordinator /Fire Life Safety Officer with the Friendship Village of Tempe in Tempe, Arizona an elder care community where he worked for the next 12 years until retiring in 2024 due to failing health.
He loved spending time with his wife and family and shared in the daily care of his two special needs adult children, Brynn and Eric.
Shane enjoyed attending professional sporting events; NASCAR races, MLB, NFL & NBA games in the Phoenix area along with the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in Scottsdale. He was a lover of classic cars, especially 1950s and 1960s models. He was also the proud owner of a 1968 Ford Torino GT 390 Fastback his first car, which was passed down to him from his parents while he was a junior in high school in 1980.
Shane was an admirer of Charlie Kirk & his Turning Point USA movement. He also had a special place in his heart for Shriners Hospitals for Children & St. Jude's Children's Hospitals.
He is survived by his wife Jodi, one daughter, Brynn, and one son, Eric, all of Surprise, Arizona, sister Wendy (Dale) Sanderson of Bismarck, North Dakota, one brother Scott (Raquel) Winistorfer, also of Bismarck, two sisters in law, Chari (Gregory) Norgard & Pamela Prince, all of Surprise.
