Sharon Lynch Laughlin, 77, died peacefully at her home with family by her side on April 19, 2013 in Surprise, AZ. She was born November 24, 1935 in Toledo, OH to Walter and Catherine Lynch. Sharon was a graduate of Saint Mary's College of Nursing in South Bend, IN. She received her Master's degree at San Diego State University. She was a hospital nurse in the emergency room and the neonatal intensive care unit. Sharon was also an elementary and secondary school nurse. She served on the board of the Phoenix Children's Hospital, and was adjunct professor at Arizona State University. She was an advocate for children's healthcare. Sharon was the beloved wife of 52 years to David Thomas Laughlin. She was a devoted and inspiring mother to nine children, who occasionally threw her curve balls, Martin, Padraic, Joseph, Brendan (Celia), Moira, Sean, Tadhg, Sheilagh (Todd) Gibbons. Sharon was a proud grandma to Cassandra, Patrick, Ryan, Anna Beth, Margaret, Michael, Conor, Declan, and Claddagh-Rose. She was a beautiful sister to Martin (Carolyn), Robert and Sarah (Paul) Ramsey. She was a fun-loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Sharon is preceded in death by her brother Larry, son Michael, grandson Aidan, and nephew Jim, who are all waiting for her with Saint Peter now. There will be a Mass of the Resurrection at Saint Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 17111 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, AZ on April 24 at 10:30 am with a private burial following at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. She will be with us every day.
