She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Eddie O'Quinn, her husband of 47 years, was there to hold her hand and comfort her.
She was born February 3, 1954, her parents were Kenneth Samuelson and Dorothy Legg. Susan was blessed to be the mother of her 2 children Jeremy O'Quinn, age 45 and Janelle Brown, age 42. She was the best Memaw in the world to her grandkids Dawson O'Quinn - age 24, Brady O'Quinn - age 20, Henry Flores - age 30, Mariah Flores - age 16, Marissa Flores - age 13, Abigail Brown - age 5, and Great Grandkid Elliott - age 8 months. Her grandkids meant the world to her! Susan, as a child and young lady, attended Whole Truth Tabernacle in Moline, IL where her father was the assistant pastor for many years and where her and her husband Eddie O'Quinn were married. She also attended Christ Temple for over 30 years after moving to Arizona which was considered her home church. Susan was by no means your average person, she had so many talents and hobbies and was enjoying her retirement from the Attorney General office where she was a legal Secretary. She was loved by many and compassionate to all. One of her most passionate hobbies, or to her it was a "calling", was to create beautiful scrapbook memories for her family and families who had lost their loved ones. She did it freely as a gift of love and compassion. Some of her other favorite pastimes were her love for crafting, crocheting, making blankets, painting, puzzles, drawing, boggle, scrabble and candy crush. Above all, she was a bright light that shined for so many people, her compassion and selflessness to help anyone in need was her best qualities. She served the lord her whole life and is a true example of what being Christ-like is all about. She will be missed by so many in this life and welcomed by so many before her in heaven.
A visitation for Susan will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christ Temple Church, 19444 N 35th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
