On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Lord called Teresa Kaye (Knutson) Ross home to His loving arms. In recent years, Teresa faced many health challenges with remarkable courage and strength, living up to her nickname, “Scrappy.” She passed peacefully surrounded by family who loved her dearly, she continued to blow kisses and share her sense of humor until the very end. Teresa marveled at the angels wings and said, " I didn't know they'd open like that".
Teresa was born on December 1, 1943, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Marcus Gordon and Betty Jeane.
Teresa married Gary Lee Ross in 1964. She was the proud mother of Nichole Bradley, Cori Short (Quinton), Belinda Goodman (Eric), and Casey Ross (Stacey). She was also a devoted grandmother to Brianna Valdez, Brittany Raffi (Juliano), Bonham Goodman, Ashe Goodman, Jesse Zondlo, and Abbey Zondlo, and a loving great-grandmother to Evan Valdez, Leo Valdez, Ruby Raffi, and Dominic Raffi.
Teresa is also survived by her favorite brother Tim. They shared a special bond.
She was preceded in death by many loved ones including her parents, sisters Carolyn (Larry) and Sue (Floyd) and her son-in-law Tate. Surely there was quite a celebration when she crossed over. Probably some games and dancing too.
Teresa will be remembered for her boundless love, her quick wit, and her unshakable spirit. She had a special way of making those around her laugh, even in the toughest moments. She loved playing games, watching the Phoenix Suns and spending time with family. She claimed her super power was being GiGi. Her strength, warmth, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, gratitude, and resilience will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.
An after party to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
