August 13, 1954 – March 6, 2026
Obituary of Terri Kathryn Simoneau
IN THE CARE OF

Surprise Funeral Care

Terri Kathryn Simoneau, 71, passed away surrounded by love and in the arms of her wife on March 6, 2026. Terri was an adventurous, brave, kind-hearted, and thoughtful woman whose life was marked by service, devotion, and an enduring impact on all who knew her. Terri was a resident of Buckeye, Arizona. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 13, 1954, Terri was the daughter of William and June Simoneau.

Terri’s brave nature, love for aviation, and vast skill set led her to enlist in the Army. She dedicated her life to her country as a U.S. Army Blackhawk test pilot and CW3, where she was heavily regarded and awarded for her efforts. Terri retired from the Army after over two decades of proud service.

Terri met the love of her life, Joann, and they shared 30 years together; their anniversary of meeting would have been in July 2026, and Joann is deeply saddened that they will not reach it to celebrate together. They were married in Arizona on December 20, 2018. Together, Terri and Joann owned a business called HandyGals, where they remodeled homes and provided enhancements and improvement repairs to homes in Alabama. Together they loved their fur babies, Highway (Princess) and Sassey Mae.

Terri loved spending her time most with her wife, Joann, going on road trips, hiking, fishing, and camping, making forever memories throughout the country and world. Terri was known to be reliable, humorous, and strong-willed. Her dynamic personality and approachable demeanor ensured that she never knew a stranger. Those who knew Terri best will remember her famous quote, “I’ve made grown men cry,” and will chuckle to themselves in her memory.

Terri leaves behind a legacy that can never be duplicated. All those who had the privilege of knowing Terri will keep her memories cherished in their hearts.
