William “Bill” Howard Levin, 83, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on May 23, 2026. Born January 5, 1943, in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana, Bill was the son of Ruth and Theodore Levin and one of four children. He faced an eight-year battle with Parkinson’s disease with quiet resolve, surrounded by the care and regard of those who loved him.
Bill built his life on steady effort and earned respect through the way he showed up for others—reliably, kindly, and without fanfare. He earned an associate’s degree in Psychology and was honorably discharged from the Army at age 23. He later worked as a Purchasing Manager in the electronics industry in California, a role that reflected his diligence and the pride he took in doing things well.
On May 27, 1983, Bill married the love of his life, Eileen, in Reno, Nevada. Their 43 years together were marked by harmony and devotion, and they united their family with daughter Lisa and son Craig. In the everyday moments of family life, Bill’s warmth and generosity were felt in ways both simple and lasting.
In his younger years, Bill was known for carving statues and figurines from wood—patient work that suited his careful hands and thoughtful spirit. Music was a vital part of his life, and he was dedicated to his banjo and guitar, often sharing the joy of jam sessions with others. He loved fishing at lakes in Northern California, enjoyed archery, and found wonder in stargazing and learning astronomy through his telescope. Later in life, he joined the lawn bowling club at the Grand in Surprise, Arizona, where his friendly presence and easy manner made him a welcomed part of the community.
Bill is survived by his spouse, Eileen; daughter Lisa of California; stepson Craig of Texas; brother Ted Levin of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him and will continue to cherish his memory.
