William David Lobb, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Surprise Arizona at the age of 77 with his wife Linda and son William Jr by his side. Born on April 26, 1948, in the sunny coastal town of Oceanside, California, William lived a life marked by service, kinship, and a profound sense of thoughtfulness that touched everyone he met.
When very young Williams parents relocated to Snoqualmie Washington. William was the cherished son of the late Margery Doreen Hind and William Frederick Lobb. His enduring bond with his siblings was a testament to the close-knit family he was raised in. He is survived by his sister, Linda Lobb Castle, and his two brothers, Jim and Terry Lobb, who will remember him not just as a brother, but as a true friend and confidant.
William chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He dedicated four years of his life to the Navy, with three of those years spent on board The USS Cimarron. His time in the service was marked by courage and commitment, exemplified by his year in Da Nang, Vietnam.
William and Linda were married on November 2, 1969 and resided in Simi Valley, California. Until moving to Surprise, Arizona, May of 2021.
We bid farewell to a man whose life was as rich and profound as the ocean he sailed upon—a man who navigated life's challenges with the same steadiness and courage he showed at sea. William David Lobb will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us just as the North Star guides a ship through the night.
There will be a brief Military Honor Service at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on October 1, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd
