Andrew passed away peacefully on May 6, 2013 during his 100th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Henny; daughters, Sharon (Fred), Cathy, (Stephen) and Annette; grandchildren Tim, Greg, David, Vanessa and great-granddaughters; Lauren and Savannah.
Andrew was born and grew up on Kamsack, Saskatchewan. In 1941 he joined the Canadian Army. He served overseas Saskatoon Light Infantry. He served overseas in North Africa, Italy, France Holland and Germany. He met his wife Henny after the liberation of Holland. They were married and raised three daughters. They lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba until 1970 when the family relocated to Victoria, B.C. They have enjoyed living in White Rock for the last 23 years. His family will dearly miss him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre on Thursday May 9 at 11:00 A.M. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
