I only found out to-day of Anton's passing and needless to say I was in complete shock!  I met Anton in 2009 and had many physio sessions with him.  I always enjoyed going to my appointments because of his positive attitude and stories.  Could always hear him whistling down the hall as he approached the physio room.  What a great attitude towards life!  My thoughts and prayers are with his Family.

I met Anton in the fall of 2013 when I had hurt my back and was given a referral to his office. Although I only saw Anton for a few months, he really helped me recover from my injury and it was a pleasure to go to my appointments knowing he had such a positive outlook when there were days that I simply did not. I have re-injured my back in the last few weeks and attempted to make an appointment the other day only to be told of Anton's sudden passing! I am still in shock and have shed a few tears for a man I hardly knew but truly touched my heart with his kindness. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. What a truly LOVELY man! RIP Anton ... you will be deeply missed by many!

Our family was and is still stunned upon hearing of Anton's passing.Our deepest condolences to the family.I met Anton fifteen years ago when after two shoulder surgeries and a year and a half and three different physio therapists,a friend told me to try Anton.In ten days He had restored full mobility to my shoulder and I was able to return to work.My orthopaedic surgeon was literally amazed.Every person including my son and daughter that I had recommended Anton to,had great success through his methods and positive demeanour.I can't help but think that his days were spent doing so many positive and helpful things.A great man and a great loss.

I had the privilege of getting to know Anton while receiving treatment from him.  He had a wonderful attitude towards life and was a pleasure to be around.  My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I had been a patient of Anton's for over 2 years relying on his services whenever needed. I just found out today he has passed :( I am shocked and saddened to hear this. My condolences to his family. Anton had an amazing positive energy that made me feel so good when I went in for visits. His interest in my life my children my injuries showed so much passion for his job and life in general. We always exchanged stories and made the very best of the visits. Rest in Peace Anton.

It has taken me a little while to process that Anton has passed aways so unexpectantly and I am so sorry for your loss.
I was a patient of Anton's, starting many years ago when he had the practice in the basement on the south side of Thrift & George Street. I remember lying on the table while my youngest daughter spun herself on the stool and the oldest daughter lying on the floor looking up at me through the hole in the table. Now that little girl is 22 years old. 
I shared many parts of my life with Anton while on one of his therapy tables and learned much about him. We exchanged stories on how his kids were doing and how mine were doing. Changes in life as our little kids grew into young adults, graduating from school, going to University and on to the worklife , changes in his work situation and changes in mine.
Although, whenever I had to see Anton at work, it meant I was in some discomfort, I always looked forward to seeing him and our conversations. His full of life greeting as he walked in through the examination room door, to lying on the table and hearing him whistle in the hallway as he got the Tens pads wet!
The Dalai Lama says "Old days pass, new days arrive. The important thing is to make them meaningful; a meaningful friend, or a meaningful day."
Anton made his days meaningful, to himself and to those around him, including me.
I'll miss him, he was a joy to be around.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of an amazing, fun loving, carefree, upbeat, wonderful man. Myself, two sons and daughter were patients of his a few years back and left all of us with a positive attitude to move forward. He can turn a persons painful look into smiles during and after treatment. My daughter was recently hurt in 2014 Ride for Cancer and the first thing we both agreed upon was go see Anton! Like so many others I was shocked and saddened by the news of Anton's sudden passing. I have been a patient of Anton on and off over the years and was always struck by his upbeat attitude and genuine interest in his patient's life and views. I was deeply saddened and shocked to read this evening (Aug. 4th) of Anton's sudden passing a week ago.  I was a patient of his over many years.  He was just the most tremendous person, let alone extremely professional and talented in his field.  The positive atmosphere he consistently created each day was a true reflection of his thoughtfulness, kindness and caring towards others.  He will be deeply missed in every regard.  My sincere and deepest condolences to his family and close friends.

It was with much sadness and tremendous shock that I heard of Anton's sudden and very untimely death .   I was a patient for several weeks during which time we shared stories of Holland, where my Husband and I lived for 5 years and also Anton's enthusiasm for the Dutch Team in the World Cup.  He was so patient, kind and full of energy and pride in his family and children and his life here in Canada.   He will be so much missed by those whose lives he touched, and it is with a very heavy heart that I send my deepest condolences a sympathy to his Wife and Children.

I met Anton many years ago as a patient. I needed him several times over the years and I always left his care feeling a little brighter and much better. I just wish to add my condolences to your family.  I was a patient of Anton's a couple of times over the years.  I would leave his clinic always in a better mood and wonder how any one person could be so happy ALL of the time.  I have never met such a cheerful, positive person in my life. I was a long term patient of Anton's and I am shocked to hear of his sudden death.  Anton was the picture of health.  He always had a smile, a skip in his step, and a whistle when he saw you.  He was a very jovial person. We had several conversations and he was always very proud of his family.  His family mattered the most to him.   He will be sadly missed. I am shocked as he was a role model for being fit and full of life.  He kept telling me over the years to take care of myself, don't let work consume me and do what I love. I was just going to drop in next week to tell him I took his advice and changed jobs to get rid of the stress that was causing my injury. He would of been proud of me and now to see he has passed, I am in shock. He was so fit/healthy and funny - loved his work, his patients and his family.  WOW, I am deeply saddened.  Rest in peace Anton...no one can replace you!

Such sadness.  A truly lovely and loving man.  Anton took a chance and hired me when I returned to the work force after raising my kids.  I left his employment when he sold the clinic as I couldn't imagine not having him as my boss.  He was always upbeat and joyful.  Deepest condolences to his loving family.

As one of Anton's first patients when he came to Canada I was shocked to learn of his untimely death. Over the years he has helped me on numerous occasions and he will be greatly missed in our community. May his family find comfort in knowing that he helped so many people.

I had only known Anton for such a short time as a recent patient. He was always so happy, he made therapy painless. He was so proud of his children, he beamed with pride. I can not imagine how your heart must be ripped from you trying to cope with such a loss. My heartfelt condolences to all of his family and friends.

It was with such shock that I learned only an hour ago, of Anton's passing. Ive only recently been a patient of his, but have enjoyed every moment...He has made me laugh, he has encouraged me to do exercises, and generally was a no nonsense type of fellow.....we had a lot of laughs, specially when we were 'joined at the hip' when he would use the big rubber band on my hip joint to ease the pressure....we laughed about that....My heart goes out to his family; he was a lovely man.....and I will truly miss him....Claudia Cox, South Surrey, BC

I have been a patient of Anton's for about 8 months, and always looked forward to my visits because of his light-hearted manner and infectious smile. ( Only missing when Holland lost to Germany in the World Cup!)
Over the past few days I have been thinking of him often, and also thinking of you, his family.  Only a wonderful and caring father with display his children`s crayon drawings proudly - long after the crayon years have disappeared. I know you will have many memories to hold dear.
