Barry Leigh Bilinski

April 4, 1951 - April 7, 2019

On April 7th 2019, Barry lost his life due to a sudden heart attack.

Barry was born in Lampman, Saskatchewan however most of his younger years were spent growing up in Brandon, Manitoba. After the passing of his mother, his father brought Barry and his little sister out to live in Surrey, BC.

Barry attended Queen Elizabeth Secondary School. At 17 years old he found himself working at the docks and eventually became a proud member of the ILWU Local 502. Barry worked at Fraser Surrey Docks, Deltaport and Westshore for 48 years and then retired. Barry was married to Linda (nee McKnight) for 27 years and raised their four children in North Delta.

Barry is the beloved son of the late Stanley and Gwendolyn Bilinski. The brother of Carol Cooper (Gord). He is the uncle of Brian and Melanie. The father of Jennifer (Mark), Jordan (Ashlee), Kate and Jessica. The loving Opa of Jacob, the late Finn, Olivia and Florence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 3:00pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Center, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Children’s Hospital.
