It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Carol, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carol was taken peacefully into the arms of Jesus at Surrey Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Marjorie Faye and Father, Leslie Hayden York. She will be dearly missed by Pat, her loving husband of 49 years; son Patrick; step-daughters Mitzi and Shannon; granddaughters Shelby and Saleen; brothers, Les (Helen) and David (Aileen); sister, Fay (Don); brothers - in -law, Jean Paul and Jacques ( Marie) and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Throughout her life Carol was actively involved with many community and charitable organizations. The family wishes to thank the medical staff of the Cardiac Care Unit and the ICU of Surrey Memorial for their exceptional care and compassion. A service will be held at Saint Cuthbert's Anglican Church, Delta, BC, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Carol's love of animals, donations to a local animal care centre would be greatly appreciated.
