Catherine Diane Smith aged 65, of Surrey BC, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS, Friday afternoon, March 7th, 2025, at Delta View Care Residence. She was born December 18th, 1959, in Surrey BC.
A lover of life, laughter, and great music, Cathy was a free spirit who found joy in the timeless sounds of ‘70s rock, the companionship of her beloved boxer dogs, and the sparkle of beautiful jewelry. She had a sharp wit and a deep appreciation for British comedy, often filling the room with laughter as she quoted her favorite shows. But more than anything, she cherished the time spent with her dearest friends, Maggie and Don, who were like family to her.
Catherine was preceded in death by parents Peggy and Ernest Smith and brother, Robert Smith. Catherine is survived by her brother David Smith (Gail), nephews Sean Smith (Kelsey, Noah) and Kyle Smith. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
We are glad she is at peace and out of pain. Cathy can now be with her beloved puppy Gibson and her Mom forever on the Rainbow Bridge.
