Charles (Charlie) Hendy, born November 21, 1929, died peacefully on October 4, 2015 at age 85 years. Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Laurine, in 2004 and daughter Kathryn in 2005. Charlie was a long term employee of Canada Safeway and was active in his community's youth sports programs. He co-founded the North Delta Football Association where he performed many functions including fundraising, coaching, & officiating. Charlie was a lifelong fan of the BC Lions, Vancouver Canucks, and Toronto Maple Leafs. He is remembered as "Hawkeye" for his ability to spot a four leaf clover or missing item.
Charlie will be missed by his son Stephen (Anna-Liisa) daughter Judy, sons Jim (Darla) & Jeff (Kim). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Sarah, Jessie(Melanie), Angela, William, Stephanie, & great grandson, Sydney.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday Oct 15 2015 @ 11:00 in the chapel of First Memorial Fraser Heights 14835 Fraser Highway
with an inurnment to follow at the Hazelwood Cemetery in Abbotsford
