Col.. If you can hear me, I want you to know that there has not been one day that has gone by that I haven't thought about you..... you must have touched a lot of lives Col because a lot of people love you very much... It's been a very tough year for everyone... We try to stay connected but it's difficult as life is so busy these days but it's so important to do so so as to comfort each other... When I look up at the stars I think about the fact that maybe life means something and that you're somewhere out there and that your in peace and you're happy... Becky and the kids are doing fine but obviously must have their struggles from time to time. But because of you and your selfless Act of absolute bravery...they are able to move on with their lives...Your Mum....well....to be honest Col....she will carry the pain differently...for life really....she's your Mum. Caroline has her family, but of course....she still has her moments.... Col, you will never ever be forgotten.. I hope one day that we will all be reunited.... maybe then the feeling of pain will transform into beautiful happiness... See ya one day Col...:-)......I love you.

I never met Colin, however, I know his mother and step father and they loved him and his family dearly. A tragic loss for the family and the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only new Colin a bit from junior high school, then became friends on Facebook in our adult years. I can only imagine the heartache you are feeling. It has really hit all who knew him hard. Know that he is a hero for protecting you. May you find comfort at this difficult time. I wish this senseless act had never taken place. Many blessings to all of you.

I got to know Colin when he was selling one of my listings. He was a true gentleman. He was the kind of person that we would all be honored to get to know. I wish I had. I am saddened by your loss. He was a brave husband and father. My heart goes out to all of you.

Dear Becky, Mathew, Leah, Joyce and Gord, Caroline, Ron, Laura, Rachel and extended family.

My heart breaks for you all and it is with a heavy heart I write to you.

I will always remember Colin as the soft spoken gentleman that he was. I know his great strength as I experienced his resilient strong character in the past. He is a hero for saving his family.

I last spoke with Colin in the Guildford Station pub. We happened to run into each other in passing. He proudly spoke of his family as we caught up after not seeing each other for a few years. This is such a tragic loss, a loss we will carry with us forever. It really is impossible to express in words. My condolences to you all ❤
