Devin Francis McGuire

August 17, 1983 – May 4, 2024
Obituary of Devin Francis McGuire
IN THE CARE OF

Victory Memorial Park & Funeral Centre

Devin McGuire passed away at home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Devin was born in 1983, and grew up immersed in sports in Gibsons, B.C with his loving parents and older brother.

He dedicated himself entirely to pulling people with substance abuse disorders out of the depths of addiction, every day. His work running Revolution Recovery in Surrey, B.C. was so much more than just work to him. It was his life's purpose, and he succeeded by touching hundreds of people and bringing light and hope to their lives. It didn't matter who you were, or where you came from; he was ready to love you until you learned to love yourself. His wicked sense of humour combined with constant readiness to deliver a hug brought so much comfort to those who knew him. He had a natural way of making everyone around him feel special and important. Despite the sheer volume of people he touched, his inner circle was small, and his most cherished relationship was with his precious daughter Brooklyn.

He was an amazing mentor, father, partner, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and teammate. He leaves behind his loving parents Richard & Robin McGuire; his beautiful daughter Brooklyn (Mike), his absolute rock Jacki and his dear brother Trevis (Lindsay).

Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to attend the celebration of life which will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024 at 2:30pm at Christian Life Assembly located at 21277 56 Ave, Langley, BC V2Y 1M3.

The legacy our dear Devin leaves behind will live on forever. If you are struggling with substance abuse, or mental health issues, find the courage to reach out for help. Help others when they ask and don't suffer in silence.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you lend your support to addiction recovery efforts in your own community.
