

Doris was born in Leduc, Alberta to Fred and Mary Glubish on November 26, 1925. Her family moved to a homestead near Calmar, Alberta when Doris was very young. Doris was the eldest of 10 children, five brothers; Mike, Steve, John, Alex, Eugene and four sisters; Millie, Edna, Irene and Lillian.
Doris married Cyril Willoughby in Edmonton, Alberta on June 11, 1955.
Doris had many jobs throughout her life, including childcare, waitressing and housekeeping. She enjoyed gardening, canning preserves, bowling, bingo and dancing. She was an Auxiliary Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 229 in Whalley, B.C. Doris was proud of her physical toughness and her blue eyes.
Doris is survived by three children; Darlene (Chris) Howerton, David (Kay) Willoughby and Patrick (Denice) Willoughby; five grandchildren, Katrina (Dan) Coghlan, Stephen Howerton, Justin Willoughby, Evan Willoughby and Sasha Willoughby; brothers Steve Glubish, Alex (Marie) Glubish and sisters Millie Ricard and Edna (Bill) Kolba. She is also survived by two nephews and three nieces.
Doris is predeceased by her husband Cyril Willoughby (August 13, 1975); brothers Mike Glubish, John Glubish and Eugene Glubish; and sisters Irene Glubish and Lillian Glubish.
Doris will be remembered for her strength, generosity and love for her family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at Victory Memorial Park, 14831-28th Ave, Surrey, BC on Tuesday, April 24th at 1:00 pm. Internment to follow at the same location. Visitation will be held at Victory Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 24th between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
