Dorothy Jean Maxwell

MAXWELL, Dorothy Jean (nee Wheatley). A long time Richmond resident, Mom (90), passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Memorial Hospital with family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband James (Jim) in 1999, infant daughter Mary, son Bob (Kim) and grandson Johnny. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Pat (Rena), Tom (Kathy), Tim (Barb-deceased) (Sally), Sharon (Darrell-deceased), Jimmy, Murray (Cindy), Reenie, Mike (Cathy), Jenny (Jim), Gerry (John), Randy, Paul (Valerie), as well as 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mom was a concert pianist, graduating from The Royal Conservatory of Music. Her favourite piece was “Malaguena-Lecuona”, which she played to perfection. Mom was an avid gardener, and her dazzling display of flowers brightened up the whole neighbourhood. What Mom enjoyed most of all were the many family gatherings. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the hospital for the loving care they showed Mom. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, on Monday January 23, at 11:00 am.
